Tomohisa Kato founded RareJob in 2007. Now it is one of the leading online ESL schools where Filipinos (Philippine resident) can teach English language to Japanese students using Skype.
The salary depends on your hourly rate. And your hourly rate will depend on your qualifications. The basic hourly rate is 100 pesos. The salary is released every 10th of the month through either BPI International or PNB account.
Job requirements:
• At least 18 years old
• High school graduate or not
• Basic computer literacy
• Has good English proficiency
• Has patience & passion for teaching
• Must currently be residing in the Philippines
• Can provide Philippine Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Must not be working for another online ESL school
• ESL teaching experience is a plus
Technical requirements:
• Laptop or desktop
• Stable internet connection
• Headset with external microphone
• Built-in or external web camera
• Quiet teaching environment
• Active Skype and e-mail accounts
Application process:
• Create an account. Fill out the registration form.
• Pass the English Proficiency Test (conversation, grammar, comprehension and vocabulary)
• Take the Demo Lesson (In this part, you will be asked to book a schedule that you think is suitable for you. You should pass the test call)
• Undergo the New Tutor On-boarding Program and Practice Lesson (Orientation videos will be provided to guide you on how to be a rarejob tutor)
• Complete Your Tutor Profile (choose your best and appealing photo, you need to prepare a brief,clear and lively voice introduction)
• Plot your schedule on the RareJob website and wait for students to book a slot. You will only be considered a RareJob tutor once you conducted your first lesson.
